Training
The Shasta Lake Fire District strives to deliver a wide range of training which includes State and Federally mandated topics, as well as discretionary subjects. All personnel are required to participate in training each month. Additionally, many employees are expanding their knowledge base by attending both fire service related and advanced degree courses on their own.
The Shasta Lake Fire District has a six month orientation and training program for new Volunteer Firefighters. This program is intended to provide the new employee with a sound overview of Department operations prior to their being assigned to an engine company. This training is administered by both the training battalion chief as well as duty captain when available.
