The Shasta Lake Fire Protection District requires a burn permit for all open burning within the city limits. Burn season is November 1 until April 30 in shasta lake fire distrct unless otherwise noted. You must call the burn info line (530) 224-8777 everyday before burning and be in posession of permit while burning. Burn piles should be no bigger than 4'x4' and you must remain in attendance at all times. Further rules and guidelines are located on burn permit.
